Transforming food systems means transforming our way of thinking.

Our comprehensive approach to Monitoring and Evaluation enables us to continually learn from what we are doing and adapt how we do it. This makes us nimble and better able to respond to new opportunities as they arise.

We are a collaborative of funders that have come together to make positive change and collective impact in a complex systems context at the global scale. To support this work, we have developed a comprehensive approach to Monitoring and Evaluation.

Each of our evaluation approaches are mutually reinforcing and fits together:

Developmental Evaluation: Provides a focus on the Global Alliance’s development where we track, document, assess, and support development, adaptation, and learning about how the alliance evolves and adapts within the complexity of food systems transformation.

Principles-Focused Evaluation: Provides a focus on how the Global Alliance remains aligned with and faithful to its principles where we track, document, assess, learn from, and support the use and relevance of our guiding principles.

Blue Marble Evaluation: Provides a focus on global food systems transformation where we track, document, assess, learn from, and support the Global Alliance’s contributions to global food systems transformation.

The Global Alliance has committed itself to an ambitious evaluation agenda that must be watched with great interest. Evaluating global systems change is a major challenge for the future.
