Confronting the Climate Crisis with Food Systems Transformation: Stories of Action from 14 Countries

Confronting the Climate Crisis with Food Systems Transformation: Stories of Action from 14 countries presents clear and compelling evidence for how food systems can contribute creative solutions to climate change. These stories demonstrate all that can be achieved when the public, private, and philanthropic sectors work with actors across the food system to advance actions that transform the status quo, reduce emissions, and adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change — while creating positive change in a multitude of ways.

These case studies were selected based on rigorous criteria and are part of a suite of materials designed to enable policymakers and decision-makers to include food systems in future Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). NDCs are the national climate actions at the heart of the Paris Agreement. Integrating food systems into these plans is critical to delivering on interconnected ecological, biodiversity, health, economic, social, and cultural goals.
