GA Executive Director participates as Future Policy Award Juror

Global Alliance Executive Director, Ruth Richardson, is participating in the international expert jury for the Future Policy Award 2018, hosted by World
Future Council, FAO, and IFOAM-Organics International. The Award will celebrate the world’s best policies scaling up agroecology. A shortlist of the winning policies will be published in early September, with the winners being announced and celebrated in October 2018.Read More

CALL FOR PROPOSALS – Systemic Solutions for Healthy Food Systems

The Global Alliance has launched an initiative which aims to compile diverse evidence about the positive health benefits and impacts of food systems, identify success stories that demonstrate how food systems can be managed for health, and highlight policies that promote health. Responses to the Call for Proposal are due 27 July 2018.Read More

The Future of Food: Now

I’m just back from two important meetings – a meeting of African food systems leaders in Ethiopia hosted by the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA), and the 7th International BCFN Forum hosted by the Barilla Center on Food and Nutrition in Italy. Both meetings reinforced for me the incredible work people are doing around the globe on food systems reform – from seed activists to corporate leaders – and the importance of strengthening that work individually and collectively.Read More
